Based on the Terry Pratchett Discworld series, the people of Ankh-Morpork celebrate Hogswatch, and akin to our Christmas- where a jolly fat man, the Hogfather, delivers gifts to children on Hogswatch night.
The Hogfather goes missing, and Death knows that sun cant rise with out him, or with out belief in him, so Death steps in, to fill the role, in the hope of maintaining that belief.
